Handmade rings from our Toronto studio
All our rings are designed and handcrafted in our Toronto studio by artisan-goldsmiths Christian Hasler and Helen Kim-Hasler. From colourful natural gemstone rings and understated gold designs to hand-engraved bands and more intricate diamond settings, each piece is developed with careful attention to proportion, balance, comfort and how it will be worn.
We work in 14K and 18K gold and platinum, combining traditional goldsmithing techniques with natural gemstones selected for their colour, cut and individual character. As GIA-trained gemmologists, we consider the gemstone and the design together, creating settings that complement the stone rather than overpower it.
Over the years, we have built an extensive collection of loose natural gemstones acquired from sources around the world. Sapphires, rubies, emeralds, diamonds and many other coloured gemstones from this collection regularly become the starting point for our ring designs. Having this selection available in our studio also allows us to show clients different possibilities when developing a custom piece.

Many of our rings are one of a kind, while others are made individually or in very small numbers. We make and finish each piece ourselves, giving us control over the proportions, setting, details and final finish from the first stages of a design through to the completed ring.
Our rings can be viewed by appointment in our Toronto showroom, and selected pieces are available directly through our online shop for shipping within Ontario and across Canada. You can also see our latest work in person at the exhibitions we attend throughout the year.
Custom rings and jewellery remodelling
Custom-made jewellery and the remodelling of our clients’ existing pieces are an important part of our work. A ring in this collection can be the starting point for a new design made specifically for you, whether you would like a different gemstone, metal or variation in the design. We can also work with suitable gemstones you already own, including stones from jewellery that has personal or sentimental value.
When remodelling an existing piece, we look at what can be preserved and incorporated into the new design, from treasured gemstones to suitable precious metal. Alternatively, we can begin with a gemstone from our own collection and develop a completely new ring around it. If you have a particular idea or an existing piece you would like to reconsider, you are welcome to contact us to discuss the possibilities.
