How to Save on Your Next Creations

How Recycling Jewellery Lowers Your Costs and Supports Sustainable Craftsmanship

A custom jewellery project is a deeply personal journey, it’s a chance to create something new and meaningful, just for you. One of the most rewarding ways to begin that journey is by bringing in your old gold jewellery. Whether it’s a broken chain, a ring that no longer fits, or a single earring kept aside, your old gold can provide real value towards your new commission.

Turn Your Old Jewellery into Savings for Something New

When you bring us your old gold jewellery, we assess its gold content and apply a gold credit directly towards the cost of your custom piece. This approach is not only sentimental but also practical , especially with pure gold value at an all-time high in 2025. Many of our customers have significantly reduced the cost of their new jewellery, and in some cases, their gold credit has fully covered the commission.

Instead of letting these pieces sit unused, this is an opportunity to transform them into something you’ll wear and treasure, all while helping offset the cost of your new creation.

Custom Designs Crafted Using Gold Brought in by Our Customers

We Manufacture Everything In‑House

As private-goldsmiths manufacturing everything in house at our Toronto studio, we’ve been recycling gold for decades. This includes not only gold brought in by customers, but also gold reclaimed from our own workshop, from filings, polishing filters, brooming dust, and offcuts. Recycling gold is part of our daily routine, deeply ingrained in how we work. Once refined, this pure gold is directly reused in our collections and custom projects.

Nearly All Our Creations Are Made from Recycled Gold

Thanks to this combined approach, reusing gold from customer pieces and our own in-house practices, nearly all our jewellery is made with pure gold sourced from recycled alloys. While some components like clasps or specialty wires may occasionally be sourced externally,  most of our creations, especially solid bands and custom commissions, comes from gold that has been responsibly reclaimed and refined right here in Toronto.

This means that when you commission a piece with us, you’re not only investing in a one-of-a-kind design, you’re also making a choice that supports local sustainable practices.

A Repurposing Method That Adds Meaning

Choosing to recycle your old gold jewellery adds another layer of meaning to your custom piece. Whether it’s a family heirloom, a ring from a past chapter, or simply something you no longer wear, these materials carry stories. We honour that by giving your gold a new purpose, one that reflects your current taste, values, and vision.

At a time when more and more people are looking to make thoughtful, sustainable choices, this repurposing method is a way to carry personal history into a new future.
