Handmade pendants from our Toronto studio

All our pendants are designed and handcrafted in our Toronto studio by artisan-goldsmiths Christian Hasler and Helen Kim-Hasler. From understated gemstone pendants to more elaborate one-of-a-kind designs, each piece is developed around proportion, colour, wearability and the individual character of the materials we are working with.

We work in 14K and 18K gold, platinum and sterling silver, using natural gemstones selected for their colour, cut and character. As GIA-trained gemmologists, we often begin a pendant design with the gemstone itself. Over the years, we have built an extensive collection of loose natural gemstones acquired from sources around the world, giving us a wide range of stones to draw from when developing both our own designs and custom pieces.

When a pendant is shown with a chain, we select premium-quality gold or silver chains appropriate to the design, often using Italian-made chains for their quality and finish. Depending on the piece, the chain may be included, available separately, or simply used to display the pendant. The individual product description always specifies exactly what is included.

Many of our pendants are one of a kind or made individually in small numbers. We make, set, finish and polish each pendant ourselves, and when a design requires a chain to be attached or incorporated into the piece, the connecting wire work and assembly are also completed by us by hand in our studio.

Our pendants can be viewed by appointment in our Toronto showroom, and selected pieces are available directly through our online shop for shipping within Ontario and across Canada. Different chain styles or lengths may also be available depending on the pendant and how you prefer to wear it.

Custom pendants and jewellery remodelling

Custom-made jewellery and the remodelling of existing pieces are an important part of our work. A pendant in this collection can inspire a new design made around a gemstone from our own collection, or we can work with suitable gemstones from jewellery you already own.

We can also discuss chain length, chain style and how the pendant will sit when worn as part of the overall design. If you have a treasured stone, an existing pendant you would like to reconsider, or an idea inspired by one of our pieces, you are welcome to contact us to discuss the possibilities.
