Design Story
This ring belongs to our Bridge collection, a design we have returned to over the years because it gives a distinctive place to a special gemstone. The idea is simple but very recognisable: a bezel-set stone held at the centre of the bridge, with the surrounding structure giving the ring its shape and presence. Here, the vibrant Madagascar green sapphire brings a lively point of colour to solid 14K yellow gold, while the diamond accents add brightness without making the ring feel formal. It is a one-off creation for someone drawn to colour, structure, and a design that feels individual on the hand.
Gemstone Details
- 1 natural oval cut green sapphire, vibrant green colour, VS1 clarity, 1.26 ct; Madagascar origin.
- 6 natural round brilliant cut diamonds, F-G colour, SI1 clarity, 0.12 ct tw.
Metal, Setting and Wearability
The ring is handmade in solid 14K yellow gold and weighs 4.90 grams. The green sapphire is bezel set at the centre of the bridge design, with the diamonds arranged around it in a square epaulette-style layout that gives definition and light to the top of the ring. The bezel setting gives the sapphire a smooth, protective outline, while the overall profile remains practical and comfortable for regular wear. The bezel setting measures approximately 8.00×7.00 mm.
This one-off creation is available in size 6 1/2 in our showroom or for immediate shipping. Please contact us for sizing availability.
Gemmologist’s Note
Green sapphire is a fancy sapphire from the corundum family, valued for its durability and individual colour character. Many green sapphires show softer or less saturated green tones, and Madagascar material can often lean towards an olivine-like colour. This stone has a stronger saturation than we often see in green sapphire, with a bright appearance that gives the ring its fresh character. With a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, sapphire is well suited to rings, and green sapphire is considered a GIA Type II gemstone, so some inclusions may be present, though fine faceted stones are usually expected to appear clean to the eye.
Handmade in-house by Christian and Helen, this one-of-a-kind ring reflects our approach to jewellery: natural gemstones, thoughtful proportions, and careful work from our Toronto studio.
