14K Rose Gold Green Sapphire Ring

Design Story

This ring belongs to our Bezel collection, where the gemstone and surrounding metal are treated as one clear, unified form. The bright green sapphire immediately suggested a pairing with rose gold: the warmth of the metal brings out the stone’s natural shifts of green while giving the ring a more individual character than a conventional white or yellow gold setting. We chose a bold, generous proportion around the sapphire so the colour would feel grounded and substantial on the hand. Simple in concept but distinctive in colour, the ring is designed for someone drawn to natural gemstones with visible character and a modern, confident use of precious metal.

Gemstone Details

• 1 natural oval cut green sapphire, 1.58 ct (TW), SI2 clarity, Type II GIA, very good cut; Madagascar origin; heat treated.

Metal, Setting and Wearability

The ring is handmade in solid 14K rose gold and weighs 4.00 grams. The oval sapphire is enclosed by a broad bezel that gives the stone a smooth, secure outline. The top setting measures approximately 11.20 x 8.20 mm, creating noticeable presence while maintaining a clean profile suited to regular wear.

Gemmologist’s Note

Green sapphire is a natural colour variety of corundum and may show subtle zoning where different shades appear within the same stone. In this Madagascar sapphire, the zoning contributes to its individual appearance rather than presenting as a perfectly uniform manufactured colour. Its bright green body colour remains lively against the rose gold. The sapphire has been heat treated, a stable treatment commonly used for Corundum.
