Design Story
This one-of-a-kind blue and pink sapphire ring was designed almost like a small painting in colour. The composition begins with one lively light blue point at the centre, then opens into many bright pink sapphire dots across the shoulders. The contrast feels joyful and expressive, but the ring still keeps the comfort and balance needed for everyday wear. Finding small sapphires that match well in both colour and size is always a careful part of this kind of pavé bead setting, and here the pink stones create a vibrant frame around the blue sapphire without making the design feel heavy.

Metal, Setting and Wearability
The ring is handmade in solid 14K yellow gold and weighs 7.2 gr. It measures approximately 9.50 mm in width, giving the design a generous presence while remaining comfortable on the hand. The pink sapphires are held in a pavé bead setting along the shoulders, creating a bright surface of colour around the centre sapphire, while the warm yellow gold brings richness to both sapphire colours.
This one-of-a-kind ring is available in size 7 1/4 only. If you require a different size, a new ring would need to be made; please contact us to discuss timing and options.
Gemmologist’s Note
Sapphire belongs to the corundum family and is loved by gemmologists partly because it appears in such a wide range of colours. The light blue sapphire in this ring has the fresh character often associated with fine Ceylon blue sapphire from Sri Lanka, while the pink sapphires show a vivid, lively colour that is especially effective in small matched stones. Together, they give the ring its playful colour story while still offering the durability expected from sapphire jewellery.
Handcrafted by Christian and Helen in our Toronto studio, this piece was made as an individual creation, with attention to colour matching, balance, wearability, and the character of the natural sapphires.
