Design Story
This half eternity ring was designed around the quality and consistency of its nine natural Ceylon sapphires. Finding round sapphires of this size with closely matched vivid blue colour, brightness, and cutting is what makes the piece distinctive. We kept the design focused on the uninterrupted line of blue across the top of the band. It is a refined ring for someone who appreciates colour, gemstone quality, and a design that feels luxurious without being overly formal.

Metal, Setting and Wearability
The ring is handmade in solid 14K white gold and weighs 3.90 grams. It measures approximately 3.50 mm in width, giving the band a balanced scale that allows the sapphires to remain prominent while keeping the ring comfortable and practical for regular wear.

Gemmologist’s Note
Sapphire is a variety of corundum and is classified as a Type II coloured gemstone, meaning some natural inclusions may be expected. For a ring composed of nine matching stones, quality depends not only on each sapphire individually but also on how closely the suite matches in diameter, cut, tone, saturation, and brightness. These natural Ceylon sapphires were selected for their vivid blue colour and consistent appearance, creating an unusually cohesive line of colour across the ring.
Created in our Toronto studio, this ring brings together our work as artisan-goldsmiths and gemmologists, with every sapphire selected and the piece handmade in-house by Christian and Helen.
