She brought us a vivid Fei Cui jadeite and gold from pieces she no longer wore. We reused her gold and set the jadeite in a clean. simple line design, but with a strong presence.
Her request was simple and heartfelt: to create a new ring that honoured her stone, reflected her style, and carried forward the history of her original gold. The result is a timeless one-of-a-kind piece, designed and handmade by us, right here in our Toronto studio.
Designing Around a Treasured Gem
The centrepiece of this ring is a vibrant Fei Cui jadeite, a gemstone prized for its rich colour and depth. Using it as the foundation, we sketched and refined a design that balanced strength and elegance.
The recycled gold from her original jewellery was melted and used into new gold alloy, allowing her old pieces to live on in a new, modern form. From concept to finishing, every step was completed by hand in our Toronto studio, ensuring a perfect fit and a flawless finish.
