A Cherished Design, Reimagined

Some commissions start with a story, and this one began with a pendant our client has loved and worn for years. She asked us to create a bracelet to match, something just as personal, but entirely new.

At the heart of this one-off piece are three rare, round-cut alexandrites, each one showing that remarkable colour change that makes this gemstone so treasured. In natural light, they glow a vivid green; under warmer tones, they shift to a rich purplish-red. We paired them with fine natural diamonds, creating a custom gold bracelet that balances elegance and precision.

It’s a design that feels timeless but carries her story forward, handcrafted by us, in-house, in our Toronto studio.

Designing Around a Memory

From the start, our goal was to design a piece that echoed her pendant without simply copying it. That’s the beauty of custom work, it lets us create something connected, but distinct.

We began by studying the lines, proportions, and style of her original piece. Then, using her chosen stones, we sketched and refined a design that felt balanced: a modern gold bracelet that would showcase her alexandrites in a way that was both striking and wearable.

The natural diamonds were selected for their clarity and cut, chosen to enhance the brilliance of the colour-change stones without competing for attention. Together, they create a subtle rhythm of colour and sparkle across the wrist, with every detail finished by hand in our studio.

The Magic of Alexandrite

Alexandrite is one of the rarest and most fascinating gemstones we work with. Its unique ability to shift colour , vivid green in daylight and deep red in warmer light, makes it feel almost alive. Each of the three stones in this bracelet displays a strong, clean colour change, making the finished piece even more special.
